Thomas Lim is a Senior Analyst with the Military Studies Programme (MSP) of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University. He holds a Master’s Degree (MSc) in International Relations from RSIS, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of London, also in International Relations. Prior to joining RSIS, he was the chief trainer of ST Engineering’s Armoured Vehicle Driving Training Project, where he conducted driving & maintenance competency courses for members of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
He conducts professional military education courses and lectures for commanders from the SAF across all levels, covering a wide range of topics across strategic studies, military history and international relations. His research interests include global defense developments, military technology, armoured vehicle operations, arms procurement processes, and maritime security.
