The Key is to Work Collectively and Cut Business Costs
In an interview, Ambassador Ong Keng Yong, RSIS executive deputy chairman, commented that the ASEAN economic community (AEC) must reflect the diversity, raison d’etat and will of ASEAN nations. It should be uniquely Southeast Asian and not simply a replication of another model from another part of the world. With a skilful balance of skills, its demonstrated visionary leadership and proven track record of tackling common challenges in a collective manner, ASEAN can deliver the AEC, he said.
