NADI Workshop on "Contribution of ASEAN Center of Military Medicine to Enhance Human Security"

The NADI Workshop on “Contribution of ACMM to Enhance Human Security”, hosted by the Stratetgic Studies Center (SSC), National Defense Studies Institute, Royal Thai Armed Forces, was held at The Tide Resort Hotel, Bangsaen, Chonburi Province, Thailand, from 29 May to 2 June. Major General Jumphon Chalerytoy, (Director, SSC), chaired the Workshop. Representatives from the NADI institutions of Brunei, Cambodia Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam attended the Workshop. Sharing the experiences of their respective countries, participants recognised the importance of Military Medicine in HADR operations, as well as the significance of coordination between the military medical services and their civilian agency counterparts. The delegates had a frank exchange of views following their presentations on their respective national perspectives on Military Medicine. The NADI Workshop Chairman’s report highlighted the recommendations adopted by the Workshop participants, to enhance regional cooperation over Military Medicine. The NADI Workshop Chairman’s report will be submitted to the ADMM Track for their consideration.
