Abstract:
The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) and the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute, representing Singapore on the ASEAN Women for Peace Registry (AWPR), are co-organizing a research roundtable to explore perceptions of Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) in Singapore. This initiative aims to contribute Singapore’s perspective to a broader regional report on WPS across ASEAN member states. Given Singapore’s unique security context which emphasizes human security over traditional conflict-related issues, the roundtable will contextualize how the WPS agenda aligns with Singapore’s experience. The findings from this half-day roundtable will lead to a WPS country report to be incorporated into a regional report published by the ASEAN Institute on Peace and Reconciliation.
