Abstract
Having just voted during the 2024 General Elections on 14 February 2024, Indonesians overwhelmingly supported Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia’s current Minister of Defence, to become the country’s next president. Prabowo centred his campaign narratives on continuing and preserving President Joko Widodo’s legacies and plans, including the Indonesia 2045 Vision. The Indonesia 2045 Vision envisions Indonesia as a developed and prosperous country. This webinar aims to identify and discuss strategic challenges surrounding the fulfilment of the Indonesia 2045 Vision. The webinar will assess the progress of achieving the vision in the defence and security sector, such as military modernisation and national security architecture. What are the targets of Indonesia 2045 Vision in defence and security sector? What are the obstacles to achieving the targets?
