Abstract
Indonesia’s presidential and parliamentary elections are slated to be held simultaneously on 14 February 2024. The presidential contest has evolved into a fierce contest between the three presidential candidates, Defence Minister Prabowo Subianto, ex-Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo, and ex-Governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan. Meanwhile, parliamentary dynamics are equally fascinating, as Indonesia’s largest party PDI-P will be fighting to retain its dominance against second place Gerindra, while newer/smaller parties are seeking to enter Parliament. This webinar seeks to provide an update to the latest political developments in Indonesia as well as expert assessments of how the elections could play out.
