The ASEAN-Korea Youth Network Workshop has been organised annually since 2012 by the ASEAN-Korea Centre in Seoul to raise awareness of ASEAN and ASEAN-Korea relations among the youths of ASEAN and Korea and enable them to create networks among one another.
In the last six years, the participants of the Workshop took part in a variety of educational activities such as lectures, discussions, team-missions, and site visits, as well as cultural and team-building activities. This year, the 7th Workshop’s Singapore Programme was co-organised by the ASEAN-Korea Centre and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from 13 to 17 July under the theme Sustainable Smart Cities: Molding the Young Pioneers of Smart & Innovative Urban Solutions.
Every year, the Workshop has been held in Korea and one of the ASEAN Member States. In the previous years, the Workshop took place in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines, gathering over 600 participants who were selected through interviews and recommendations by the ASEAN Embassies in Korea.
