About International Programmes
RSIS is the intersection of a think tank and graduate school in international affairs, which provides robust research and acute insights on geopolitics, international relations and security, influencing thought leadership and policymaking.
RSIS hosts a number of international programmes that serve as invaluable platforms for fostering cross-cultural exchange, collaboration, and understanding on a global scale. These initiatives facilitate the sharing of knowledge, expertise, and best practices across borders, formulating innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. Through its international programmes, RSIS engages its network of stakeholders from the government, non-governmental organisation, industry, and academia in collaborative research projects, academic exchanges, and professional development opportunities.
RSIS has been a strategic partner of the Doha Forum, a global platform for dialogue that brings together leaders in policy to discuss critical challenges. RSIS contributes speakers and moderators at the Forum, creating opportunities to engage with leaders, academics, and institutions in the Middle East.
RSIS also convenes regular dialogues with partner think tanks, such as the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik – SWP), offering platforms for Asia–Europe exchanges on issues of common interest. RSIS has also been represented at regional forums such as the Ulaanbaatar Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security, which addresses challenges of peace, stability, and economic development through multilateral engagement. Such programmes underline the significant role RSIS plays in the ecosystem of research and academic excellence.
As part of its strategic engagements, RSIS also hosts long-term visiting scholars from partner nations, fostering collaboration and exchange with the international research community.
