Adlini Ilma Ghaisany Sjah is an Associate Research Fellow with the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research, at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS). She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, specializing in Strategic Studies, from the University of Indonesia and a Master of International Relations degree from the University of Melbourne. Her current research interests include terrorism and extremism studies in Indonesia; the internationalization and legitimization of violent political movements; Southeast Asian security; and non-Western approaches to International Relations. She has published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Terrorism Research (now titled Contemporary Voices: St Andrews Journal of International Relations) and mainstream media such as The Jakarta Post.
