Mr Gabriel Lim has been appointed as a Senior Analyst with the National Security Studies Programme, effective from 27 October 2025.
Gabriel holds a MSc in International relations from RSIS (2021) and Bachelor of Arts in History (Cum Laude) from the University of Dallas (2020) . Prior to joining RSIS, Gabriel was a research assistant with the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) at the National University of Singapore.
His research interests include National security threats to Singapore; Military tactics, technology, emerging trends in warfare in the 21st century, potential scenarios for great power conflicts, implications for a small state like Singapore; Social trends that threaten to degrade Singapore’s social compact; Widespread public attitudes to the East and West in Southeast Asia; Understanding the United States as a Southeast Asian; Public policy issues; and Political philosophy.
