Kayven Tan is a Senior Analyst at the Centre for Non-Traditional Security Studies (NTS), S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in International Relations from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University (RSIS, NTU), and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in International Relations from the University of London.
Kayven previously served as a Foreign Service Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore, where he formulated and reviewed Singapore’s bilateral policies relating to technical assistance and facilitated capacity-building programmes for foreign government officials to share Singapore’s development experience and expertise. He also steered the conceptualisation and implementation of the Singapore-Timor-Leste ASEAN Readiness Support (STARS) Package.
His research interests include Singapore’s Foreign Policy, ASEAN and Multilateralism in the Indo-Pacific and Human and Food Security.
