Saddiq Basha is a Senior Analyst at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR), a constituent unit of the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Political Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and an MSc in Strategic Studies from RSIS, NTU. His research primarily focuses on far-right extremism, and more recently on misanthropic and nihilist violent extremism (M/NVE) and other less ideologically clear-cut forms of extremism in Southeast Asia’s digital spaces, mapping the ideologies, networks, and activities of violent online communities and subcultures across the region.
