Dr Sandeep Singh received his Honours and Masters degrees at the National University of Singapore, Department of History and PhD from the University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy in the Humanities. He lectures and teaches with the Military Studies Programme. His research interests primarily are in the Cold War in Southeast Asia, with a focus on topics as varied as Grand Strategy and cultural history. He has coordinated panels with international colleagues on the Cold War in forums such as the Association of Asian Studies since 2018, has been an invited speaker to the Wee Kim Wee Soka Seminar on Global Peace and Understanding, and been part of major research projects as a researcher such as Empire in Asia: A New Global History. Sandeep also received three teaching awards from the National University of Singapore for postgraduate teaching from 2014-2016, and has taught in both Singapore and Australia. He is currently lecturing at the College of Integrative Studies, Singapore Management University, where he teaches a course called Big Questions.
