Zaid is a technology lawyer and is at present CEO of the Asia Law Exchange where he specializes in Cybersecurity and Technology law, Intellectual Property and Legal Data Analytics. He has over 30 years of professional experience in the legal, technology and government sectors, including almost a decade spent at the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor, Singapore and Solicitor, England & Wales, Zaid graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the National University of Singapore and was awarded the Fulbright scholarship for his Master in International Relation at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, USA. He has served as Director for Intellectual Property at Microsoft; Chief Legal Officer at Telekom Malaysia; and Senior Legal Advisor at Singtel’s JV with Warner Bros and Sony Pictures. Author of 9 books, Zaid sub-specializes in private equity and venture capital investment including Islamic finance.
