As part of their podcast initiative, the US Programme launched a new series called “Election Watch with USP,” in which members of the US Programme discussed recent developments on the campaign trail in the lead-up to the US Elections in November 2024. The pilot episode of this series discussed the implications of the Republican National Convention in mid-July, as well as how the assassination attempt on former-President Donald Trump could affect the ballot. Subsequent episodes explored developments such as the suspension of President Joe Biden’s campaign and the meteoric rise of Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat nominee.
