RSIS Delegation Visit to Beijing 2025
17 Nov 2025

A delegation from RSIS visited Beijing, China, from 17 to 19 November 2025, led by Professor Kumar Ramakrishna, Dean of RSIS.

As part of the programme, the delegation participated in the South China Sea Probing Initiative (SCSPI)–RSIS Roundtable 2025, engaged in a two-panel professional exchange with the People’s Liberation Army Academy of Military Sciences, and took part in the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR)–RSIS Dialogue.

The delegation also called on the Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding at Peking University and the Institute of International Relations at Tsinghua University.

Discussions across these engagements covered the evolving dynamics of China–US relations, China’s strategic outlook on Southeast Asia, developments in the South China Sea, regional responses to geopolitical uncertainty, and ways to deepen pragmatic cooperation and strengthen communication among stakeholders.

The visit reaffirmed the close institutional linkages between RSIS and its Chinese counterparts and explored opportunities to further enhance partnerships and collaborative research.
