- Are floating nuclear power plants an option for coastal regions and Southeast Asia?
Since 2001, the world had been on the trajectory to a “nuclear renaissance” owing to rising oil and gas prices as well as efforts to curb carbon emissions.
Several countries in Asia have harboured ambitious plans to put new reactors on their grids to expand their economies. Nuclear energy was the viable option to address the twin challenges of energy security as well as climate change.
