Regional Studies

ICPVTR seeks to integrate both academic theory and practical knowledge in its research and publications. The Centre’s special focus is terrorism and counter terrorism in Southeast and South Asia, with a growing expertise in other forms of extremism such as the far right, Hindutva and Buddhist extremism.

Counter Ideology

In tandem with the community stakeholders, ICPVTR is closely involved in on-the-ground work in counter ideology, moderation and rehabilitation of segments of the community which may be vulnerable to extremist ideology.

Social Media

To complement its research on regional studies and counter ideology, ICPVTR monitors extremist social media and related platforms to highlight and analyse significant developments in the major Islamist and non-Islamist extremist online domains.
